Empty Room

Yesterday, I took Lauren to school. She is settled in and ready for classes to start on Monday. She has met new people and they went to a BBQ last night and had to evacuate the building at 2 am!! It wasn't a fire drill, there was an emergency, even though no one knows what it was...LOL!!

Yesterday morning, she told her daddy bye...it was tough for both of them! Then on the way out, she stopped by Megan's school for one last good-bye, they were both teary-eyed. She and I drove to Greenville and had lunch with a friend of mine. Lauren & Dawn exchanged numbers, so if there is an emergency, Dawn can get to her quickly!! It took us three loads to get in, I got her computer set up with the printer and then I had to say good bye. Yes, we both cried, but I didn't cry the whole way home. She will be home on the 4th, so it will all be good!!

First Day of School!!!!

Today Megan started the 6th Grade!!! Where did the time go! As you can see in the picture, Sassy is trying to get in on the action. Megan's homeroom teacher is Mr. Walker (the son of Lauren's psycho teacher from last year!) We are hoping for a better year with Megan this year than what Lauren had last year. I take Lauren on Wednesday to Texas A&M-Commerce. I started classes tonight! It is going to be a busy semester with LOTS of paper writing! UGH!!!

Burgers Lake!!

We told Megan that we would take her Burger's Lake this summer as a belated birthday party. She invited two of her soccer teammates, Audrey & Alexis. Lauren brought Ashley, who is leaving for college in Baltimore tomorrow!! We had a blast, the water was cold, the sun was warm and we all had a blast!!!

Cancun

Lauren and I had a GREAT time!!! We got lots of sun and had lots of fun!! We swam with dolphins, I snorkeled with whale sharks - in the open ocean, not in a tank! We were about an hour out in the open ocean, deep, blue water!! There was no land to be seen!! Sunday we went into town to shop!! We had as much fun as one could possibly have!!

A new baby

I posted a couple of months ago about us losing our cats, JoJo, Itchi & Tink. It has been hard, but I promised Megan that after my trip I would get her a new kitten. Well, Tuesday, I kept my promise. A friend of mine rescued a momma kitten and her litter from a kill shelter. She had one kitten left and had her for several weeks. We were able to get our new kitten Tuesday night. Megan was so excited. She cried on the way home, she was so happy. So let me introduce our new baby......Sassy. It makes me happy that my baby is happy!!! She loves this kitten and is taking great care of her.

First dive in the water!!!

This is the video of my first dive in!! You will see how close I was to the shark. I did not have the camera on zoom!! I was doing good not to run into the shark!!!

AMAZING!!!!!

Today I did the most AMAZING thing.....snorkeled with whale sharks!!!!!! I took a boat ride an hour out to sea, it took some searching but the guides found them....about 50 sharks feeding!!!! I will admit I was almost panicked before I jumped into the ocean, but after the first jump and swimming a bit to be face to gill with these awesome animals, I was totally calm!!! I was the first diver in and got a chance to make 4 dives!!! Each time was so wonderful!!! Afterwards, we went to Isla Murales to snorkel. That was really fun, too. Saw a starfish and a puffer fish, thankfully not puffed!! It was a GREAT day!!! I'm still floating in the clouds!!!!
