Trampoline Fun

My nieces and nephews came over today for pictures.  They all wanted pictures taken on the trampoline.  Here is Anthony, Alexa, Jake & Megan in action.

Yea, it's funny, gross, but really funny cause it's not my kid!!!

Today Cara and Bobby brought the kids over for me to take their portraits.  Afterwards, Izzie was outside enjoying the dogs.  Rusty kept licking her, so Izzie bent over and licked Rusty on the mouth!!!!!  GROSS!!!  But it was really cute and funny!!!  Izzie just kept licking her, kissing the dog!!  Isn't she the cutest thing!!

BURRRRRR!!!

We are actually getting a VERY cold blast!!  Of course, it is not snow falling, but ice!!  Thankfully, I had early dismissal, Lauren got out of school at 2 pm and I picked up Megan at 230.  My class was canceled and we are all hoping for a snow day tomorrow!!!  All of our babies are in the garage except for Tink, he's the only one who gets to come in the house.  

Megan was snuggling him earlier--here are a couple of pics from the goof-ball!!  Tink had his fill and his now sleeping under my bed.

Birthday party!!

Today we had the family birthday party for the january/February birthdays.  That included, my sister, Cheryl, Lauren & Matt.  We had spaghetti and a cake from Cretia's bakery.  Cretia's is an old-fashioned bakery with the REALLY good icing!!!  The kids had a blast playing outside on the trampoline.

Matt wasn't sure about the affection he was receiving from Aunt Cheryl.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

As I mentioned a few months ago, Mike's mom was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer. She had surgery last year to remove the cancer and rebuild her rectum.  She has been through a battery of tests and had some suspicious lymph nodes.   Today, she had a doctors appointment, the doctor said that the lymph nodes are clear.  He believes that he got all of the cancer with the surgery.  He recommends that she NOT go through chemo and radiation!!!!  

PTL!!!  Thanks to all of the prayer warriors who have prayed for her!!!!

Cougars, Cubs & Snakes, Oh my!!!

Today, I took Megan and Catarina to the zoo.  It was a bit nippy at first, but the sun started shining and turned out beautiful!!!  We had a blast and saw lots of animals.  I took over 250 pictures.  Needless to say, there is no way I can post them here.  I actually only used 116.  If you would like to see them, you can go to my photo hosting site---the link is on the right.

18th birthday!!!

It is totally unimaginable that Lauren will be 18 on Wednesday!!!  She wanted boots for her birthday, so today we went to get her boots.  I kept teasing her about getting red boots (a referral to Footloose), but she wanted brown boots.  She did say that if I wanted to buy her two pairs, she would get red boots--but that didn't happen.  I was able to get a picture of her with red boots and her boots that we did buy.  She is ready to go boot-scootin' now!!!

A goofy child!!!

It was another wonderfuly, non-january day!  I think we reached 68.  We were sitting out on the front deck and I grabbed my camera for some candid Megan shots.  Of course, with Megan, there are no candid shots---all poses!!!  Here are a few from tonight.

Isn't he cute???

Mike and Megan got home from soccer practice and this little guy was on the street.  He had a collar, so Megan went looking for his owner.  She didn't have any luck, so we made signs.  As Mike and Megan were heading to the store to hang a sign, they saw someone and asked if they knew this dog and they did!!!  His name is Weasel and he is deaf.  He was the cutest little puppy and well behaved.  I was sort of sad to see him go.

Catching up

I noticed last night I hadn't posted in 10 days....sorry!  Actually, things have been calming down (kind of the calm before the storm!)  

Lauren and Megan finished their first semester yesterday.  Lauren is so thrilled to be in her LAST semester in high school.  I've been catching up on my cleaning..sort of a late fall, early spring clean!!  School starts for me on Tuesday.  I'm taking 12 hours again.  Matt is back in classes, too.  Megan is starting soccer practices for the spring season, it should be a good season!!

50 Degree Difference!!!!!

On Saturday we experienced a warm 84 outside.   Sunday it was 47, today it is raining and 31!!!  Can you believe it---50 degrees in 48 hours!!!  Thankfully, because of the warm weather, the roads were not freezing.  We do have LOTS of ice cycles on the trees.  There are a few trees in the neighborhood that are falling over because of the weight of the ice.  Parts of Dallas also have lost electricity.  We have a couple of electricity blinks, but thankfully, we still have power.  Here are a couple of pictures of the front trees.

Itchi Suzanne & JoJo Starr

I was outside sitting on the porch enjoying our unusually warm weather when Megan's cats joined me.  I ran in and got my camera and was able to snap a couple of pics of the babies.  Itchi was a piece of cake....I would call her name and she would come.  JoJo was another story.  She doesn't like to be touched and would REFUSE to look at me if I called her name.  But, I did get a couple.

Sleeping arrangements

When Matt comes home on the weekend to work, he needs a place to sleep, since he doesn't have a room anymore.  Megan has graciously given him her bed .  We will get a futon for the extra room for Matt to sleep on.  This morning, we found Megan on the floor with her feet on the ab lounge covered with a blanket.  It was quiet a site!!
