22-12 Final

It was a good game, but the seniors previaled. We knew they would anyway--it's rigged, but it was fun!! It WAS VERY VERY COLD!!! I think the temp was 37, but the wind chill was around 27! The wind was HORRIBLE!!! Lauren had fun, she did get whacked in the jaw during the first play of the game, but she's fine now.

PowderPuff Preview

Tonight is the big night!!! Lauren has voluntarily moved from the QB to the offensive line yesterday!!! She is excited. I'm looking forward to watching, but I'm not looking forward to the COLD front that is coming through today. Here are a couple of pictures of Lauren trying on her uniform last night.

Poor Megan rolled her ankle last night at volleyball practice. It was swollen this morning, so we let her stay home to keep it up.

Birthdays, Birthdays and MORE Birthdays!!!

Jan/Feb is one of the busy birthday times for us. Lauren's is the 21, my sister Cheryl has a birthday on the 29th and then Matt's on the 2nd of Feb. For many year, we have had a combo birthday for the three of them. We got together last night. Cara and crew couldn't make it because of a sick baby. Catarina and Megan had fun eating the colored icing balloons.

Happy 17th Birthday Lauren!!!

At 3:40 pm today, she will officially be 17. Megan, Lindsey, Taylor, Olivia, Sarah & Hailey came over and I made them tacos. After lunch and cake, they watched a chick flick. I think they are playing truth or dare now. They are having a good time just hanging out! Tonight, Lauren has chosen Texas Roadhouse for her dinner.

Today and tomorrow are early release days for final exams. So, Lauren and her friends stopped by my office to say good bye. I mentioned to her she needed to go to my blog to see what I put up. Well, all her friends wanted to see........mission accomplished!!!! She was so embarrassed!!! Her face was as red as her hair!!

I'm back to work today, Megan is feeling much better. So, I was thinking, I needed to post another blackmail picture of Lauren. Fortunately, I have a picture or two of her on my computer here at work. So, let's see what we got:

Home again today!

I'm home for the 2nd day in a row with a sick little one. Megan has a fever with congestion & cough. She's on the couch watching movies and sleeping, I'm catching up on things I'm not able to get done in the evenings. Lauren is loving it.....she gets to drive to school!!

Lauren is counting down her birthday. She's so goofy!!! I can honestly say, no surprise party this year!! She does get the day off from school, her birthday is on MLK day (21st)! Here's another picture of her. It is one of my favorites.

I LOVE this picture!! It will be used next year when photos are needed for Senior recognition!!! Gotta love being a parent holding blackmail photos!!! MUWAHAHAHA!!!

Getting ready for a birthday!

1st tournament of the season

Today was Lauren's first tournament as an 18's player. She did an excellent job!! During the first game, her first time to serve, she served 8 points with 5 of those being aces!!! She did great all day!! It was a LONG 13 hours from the time we left to when we got home. At least it was a successful day------they won 1st place!!!!
