I can't believe it!!! Another school year is over. My baby has finished her last year a elementary school and will be starting 5th grade at an Intermediate School!!!! I get weepy just thinking about it!!! I was able to attend her awards assembly--I surprised Megan, she didn't know I was coming. She got awards for All-City Choir, Being a CIA (Character in Action) Agent, A-B Honor Roll for the YEAR and Commended Performance on the TAKS Test!!! She kicked butt!!! I'm so proud of her!!! The principal unofficially announced that Alexander Elem. was an Exemplary school!! (Has to do with how many 3rd & 4th graders passed the TAKS test). An Exemplary school is the highest honor you can get!!!
So, Lauren gets home and yells "I'm a SENIOR!!!!" I don't know if I'm ready for THAT!! I still get weepy thinking of Matt walking on the floor of Reunion Arena for his graduation last year. Now having to prepare for HER last year in high school. She is already making plans for college. She'll be taking the ACT this summer and will be looking at several colleges to contact so hopefully a scout can come watch her play volleyball. Ok, so the water works have started!!! I'll end here.
