She's leaving tonight!! ***UPDATED***

My baby is leaving for camp!!! We drop her off at 6 pm tonight and she will not be back until NEXT Wednesday!!!! What am I going to do without her??? Thankfully, mom will be with her. She is traveling to Table Rock Lake in Missouri. She will be at Kids Across America Camp. OY! I'm already missing her!!!!

Wednesday: I spoke with mom this morning and Megan had a great night. They are on the bus, headed to Missouri (should be arriving around 2 pm). I've been given strict instructions to go online and feed her two webkinz babies!!! I better make some sort of effort, cause if they are starving when she gets back, I'm dead meat!!!

Rainbows!!!

We've had a cool front come through that has brought cooler temps and some light rain.  Megan was outside playing and came running in screaming "A RAINBOW!!"   So being the good mom that I am, I get up and and go outside to see the rainbow - it is complete from one end to the other!!!  No half rainbows!!  It was beautiful!!!  I go back in to get the camera and she comes running in again screaming "THERE'S TWO RAINBOWS!!!"  Sure enough, there is a fainter rainbow above the first one--too cool!!!  Enjoy the pictures.

Happy Anniversary to me!!!

22 years ago today, I married Mikey.  Tonight we went out to celebrate.  It was weird because we were watching a young family with 5 kids eat and the dad asked if we wanted to babysit (jokingly).  We declined with a laugh!!!  We were remembering those days, trying to go out with all three of the kids when they were little--sometimes is was great and sometimes it was down-right frustrating!!!  

I was talking to my aunt who will be celebrating her 50th in December.  She told me I was going to have to catch her.  We're going to try!!!

A somber moment.....after dinner, we went to the graveyard.  Today would have been dad's 64th birthday.  I went out to put flags on his grave.

WOOT!! WOOT!!! S-C-O-R-E!!!!!

AAAHHHH, I'm so excited!!!  I just purchased my tickets to see JOURNEY!!!!!!  They will be here with Heart and Cheap Trick!!  Lauren's not to happy because I didn't get her a ticket--De's going with me--ladies night out--no kiddies or teenagers with attitudes!!!  WOOT!!

Special Invitation!! - Edited with time change!!!

I would like to invite anyone in the DFW area to a mini-handbell concert on Sunday, June 15 @ 6:00 pm.  As you know, I ring (or play-which ever term you want to use) handbells and to end our year we are performing in the Sunday Night service.  So, if you can make it, I would love to see you!!!

OOPSIE!!!!!

I'm a terrible person!!!  I totally forgot to give a great-big-HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out to my hubby!!!!  That's right Mike had a birthday (yesterday).  The old man is 46 (he's a LOT older than me--I was a child bride)!!!  The kids and I got him a new propane grill and took him to dinner last night.  So, Happy Birthday, Mikey!!!

Prayers for my lil sis.

Cara had her first chemo treatment on Friday.  Sunday she started having severe headaches and ended up in the hospital.  They have done two CAT scans, thankfully, they were negative.  They tried to do an MRI, but the noise from the machine was too much for her and they had to stop.  As of right now, she is still in the hospital and they are thinking that the two meds they gave her for nausea is what is causing the headaches---head aches is one of the side effects of the meds.  So, say a prayer for her that this pain WILL completely go away and she can get home soon.

Another School Year GONE!!!!

I can't believe it!!!  Another school year is over.  My baby has finished her last year a elementary school and will be starting 5th grade at an Intermediate School!!!!  I get weepy just thinking about it!!!  I was able to attend her awards assembly--I surprised Megan, she didn't know I was coming.  She got awards for All-City Choir, Being a CIA (Character in Action) Agent, A-B Honor Roll for the YEAR and Commended Performance on the TAKS Test!!!  She kicked butt!!!  I'm so proud of her!!!  The principal unofficially announced that Alexander Elem. was an Exemplary school!!  (Has to do with how many 3rd & 4th graders passed the TAKS test).  An Exemplary school is the highest honor you can get!!!

So, Lauren gets home and yells "I'm a SENIOR!!!!"  I don't know if I'm ready for THAT!!  I still get weepy thinking of Matt walking on the floor of Reunion Arena for his graduation last year.  Now having to prepare for HER last year in high school.  She is already making plans for college.  She'll be taking the ACT this summer and will be looking at several colleges to contact so hopefully a scout can come watch her play volleyball.  Ok, so the water works have started!!!  I'll end here.  But before I go, a picture of Megan and her 4th Grade teacher, Mrs. Blaylock.
